CUDDALORE: A court in Tamil Nadu’s Cuddalore district convicted a 29-year-old woman to two life terms for murdering a four-year-old kid over a land dispute with his parents. Both life sentences will run simultaneously.
The prosecution claims that M Ranjitha and Senthilnathan, a car driver from Keezhkollai village, were at odds over a land issue.
On January 26, 2022, Ranjitha noticed Senthilnathan’s son S Ashwanth playing in front of his house and took him to a nearby cashew nut field. She savagely attacked the youngster and strangled him to death. Senthilnathan filed a police complaint against Ranjitha, which led to her detention.
