China’s Wuhu Shipyard has secured six heavy lift newbuildings from an undisclosed German owner.
The deal for up to six units of 14,600 dwt multi-purpose heavy lift vessels from a reputed German owner in heavy lift vessel market, effective on the same day of contract signing.
Wuhu Shipyard has been engaged in multi-purpose vessel market, and had a number of orders from European owners including Maersk, Spliethoff.
Currently, Wuhu Shipyard has an annual shipbuilding capacity of 800,000 dwt. The shipyard opened up a service support center last weekend at Zhoushan to provide full life circle service to its ship products.
